WHY THESE CHEATS ?
"There are no cheats to this dish apart from I use Baby Cucumbers as when sliced they are the same size as the majority of the other ingredients" - MR HANS
METHOD:
I would never profess that this is one of my recipes, but if you follow my process you will make an authentic Greek Salad. All the measures in this recipe can be adjusted to suit tastes. The key is to ensure that the Tomatoes are ripe, use the best Feta Cheese and Extra Virgin Olive Oil that you can afford, always use Dried Oregano and apart from the sliced Red Onion, try to make all of the other ingredients roughly the same size.
HOW TO PREPARE
-
Thinly slice the Red Onion and add to a mixing bowl
-
Deseed the Green Pepper, trim and remove any pith, then cut into 2cm squares and add to the bowl
-
Slice the Tomatoes and Black Olives in half and add to the bowl
-
Cut the Cucumber into 2cm cubes (for Mini Cucumbers, slice into chunks) and add to the bowl
-
Add a good sized pinch of Dried Oregano and a healthy grind of Black Pepper, then mix all those ingredients together
-
Drizzle a healthy amount of Extra Virgin Olive Oil onto the mixture
-
Cut the Feta Cheese into cubes, add to the bowl, then carefully mix it in (evenly combining all of the ingredients)
-
The dish is now ready to serve
